HI

She likes to wave. All day. Every day. To everyone. To no one. When she's happy. When she's crabby. Brianna waves.

mandy - thanks, I love the quote too. Just saw it today in a weekly "family gems" email I get from LDS.org You can sign up for all different kinds of quote-of-the-day type things.
But the quote is a hard one for me to understand, because I'm just not sure what the word "nurture" really means. I mean... I know that I love my baby and I take care of her in the way that comes naturally... but some things that come naturally aren't necessarily the best for her. Like when I leave the room and she freaks out (she's got a bad case of separation anxiety), my instinct is to run back to her and just stay with her 24/7 so she's happy. But I'm guessing that would be a major disservice to her. So it's like... what is NURTURING?! Is it doing what's best for the child in the long run, while making them suffer a little in the short? Or making them feel emotionally secure 100% of the time?? I don't know.
Anyways, I don't even know if you'll read this. So I'm just posting it on here so everyone knows the crazy thoughts going through my scattered brain.

Ya, Chelsea, that's nurturing. Giving them what they NEED not necessarily what they want. Like my plants in my garden a couple years ago. I couldn't bear to "thin" out all the cute little sproutlings and my result was hardly any beans. You gotta go for the beans, Chelsea. Go for the beans.

Oh yeah, and I like the waving. Maybe she's getting practice in for future beauty contests!

Just a quick question - what date did you take that footage?

Mom - the date on the footage... um, I think it was like 4 weeks ago. Do you need an exact date? I can look it up.

Meg - my daughter will NOT be flaunting around in those silly pageants! Not only because I'm morally objected to them, but also I'd just feel bad for all the other contestants who she would just blow out of the water.

:)
