FIVE!

Celebrating today!

Apparently the traditional gift for a 5th wedding anniversary is either silverware or wood. I suggested to Brian that we skip both of those and go on a fun trip. We're headed out soon for a little VirginRiver getaway.

Melodramatic, sappy, overly sentimental old-photo-filled post to-be-published soon.

Congrats! Isn't it crazy to think you've been married for FIVE years- and to the same person?! ;) seriously though it's awesome. You guys deserve a getaway. Have fun!

Congrats! You are so like me...I would rather spend the money on a memory, and explore a new place, then scrapbook it, than to exchange presents!

I had no idea you were "supposed" to get certain gifts on certain years. Definitely, the getaway sounds great. Oh, and happy anniversary!

I think a getaway sounds much more fun that a piece of wood. (Unless that piece of wood were, say, a new bedroom set made out of quarter sawn oak missionary style.) Happy Anniversary!

What! You didn't whittle him a little wooden statue? Sad. I would much prefer that to a vacation :) By the way, I did the Ogden half all by my lonesome last weekend and it felt about 10 times longer than when you were here! I was dying. Next year I am forcing you to run it with me. I'll even push a stroller with one of the twins if you want.

Time IS flying - glad you decided to celebrate with a little getaway. Gee, it seems like yesterday that we were having your outdoor reception, and all the girls dressed in look alike dresses and we had a rainbow cake with flowers, and a chocolate fountain, and the wind came up and the chocolate splattered onto the little boys white shirts cause that was where they were hanging out, and we had to move to the garage and we sang kareoke and we danced and... HAPPY day that was and HAPPY times are what its all about - keep making HAPPY memories!
