She continues to be a joy, and occasionally a trial :)

- Spitting, camel-style
- Going longer between feedings, but eating more
- Putting EVERYTHING in her mouth
- Getting a stronger grip (especially on my hair, which can be uncomfortable)
- Frequently smiling, occasionally giggling

I love the last one on your list. It's so true, isn't it.
I love seeing how much a baby changes and enriches life.
I remember hearing once that a baby magnifies everything in a marraige. When the marriage is good, a baby magnifies it's goodness even more. The opposite is also true if the marriage is not so good, baby makes the marriage harder.
I'm sure that your marriage has been magnified beautifully and has grown and changed dramatically! Isn't it great. I love how that works. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he planted those mothering instincts and desires in us. It is the best.
Amy - interesting comment... (as yours always are!) Reminds me...
I am reading On Becoming Babywise, and the first chapter is all about focusing on the marriage first, before the baby. It talks about how so often, parents will become child-centered, and lose sight of their own romance. While they do this with the good intentions of "putting baby first," it ends up hurting the child in the long run because she doesn't get the benefits of witnessing a strong, secure marriage. The children are treated as the center of the family universe, which fosters the emotionally crippling attitude of "me-ism." The parents intensely pursue the child's happiness, while their own marriage gets lost in space. My husband said he came from a child-centered family, and so he wants us to make sure to not be that way - to put each other first. Easier said than done, though! Planning a date night is more complicated these days! Especially out here in Vernal. We have found that putting the baby to bed early helps :)
Anyways, I think I went off on a tangent from your comment. You know how it is when you start reading a good book - you know it's a GOOD one when you think about it all day and relate everything to it!
That is so great, she is growing up so fast. I love the babywise books, they have a lot of great advice. I agree about focusing on the marriage as well, we went on our first real date this last Saturday and I realized that we need to do this more often.
Happy 5 months, Brianna! You are a cutie.
FIVE months?!! I can't even believe it!
Brianna is...LUCKY to have you and Brian for parents! MOM
We love visitors! That would be so much fun. You're welcome any time :) Did you know Julianne had her baby?
Oh boy they do grow so quickly!! I read that babywise book right before I had Grace. It had some great points that have helped as I have tried to figure this parenting thing out! How long will you be in Vernal?
