Mud hiking

I sent Brian off with the kids to do a "nature walk" while I had my Sunday visit with Grandma.
Unfortunately he took them to a trail that was more MUD than anything else.

They had fun, and that's great. But I did NOT have fun cleaning up their nasty clothes afterwards. So time consuming.
I hate to be "THAT" mom, who doesn't embrace the dirtiness and celebrate them living up their childhood.... but really, can't they be one with nature in a less messy way?!
