Family volunteering and big donation from Medline!
Brian's company did a cool thing:
Employees got to nominate a local nonprofit they've been volunteering with.
So of course, we nominated the Mead Food Bank! We've been volunteering there now for a long time.
And.... we won! They won! Medline donated $3000!
Bette, the director, was so excited. What a cool thing to be part of!

Chelsea the plumber
So ridiculously proud of myself.
Sink clogged, didn't call my dad, didn't call neighbor Dan, didn't call a plumber.
I looked up youtube videos on dissembling sink pipes, and one hour later things were flowing clear again.
This plastic spoon, plus cantaloupe seeds, were the main culprits.
I'm kinda amazing. Well me and YouTube anyway.

Play in a week at the Civic Theater
What a cool thing my kids and their cousins get to do every Summer! They work super hard during this one week...memorizing lines, blocking, costumes, etc. Mom signs them up for this and does most of the transportation. So cool and so good for them.

Cherry picking π π
I feel like photos such as this are going to be super fun for these kids to look back on someday. And maybe they'll laugh at their hairstyles or choice of shoes/pants/pose.... but hopefully they'll just look back with awesome memories of really fun summers spent doing things like cherry picking.
