Bennett the Brain
It was interesting to observe Bennett in the classroom...zooming ahead of everyone else on their worksheets. Showoff. ;)
And the other kids constantly asking him how to spell words! I told Bennett, "they must think YOU'RE Mrs. G!" That made him laugh. And fed his little growing ego :)

Bennett gave a talk
I was so proud of him getting up there and reading his whole talk solo! Especially since we had just prepared it ten minutes before :) He's so confident and independent!
His message was on SHARING and how Jesus wants us to be kind and share with others 💗

At Christmas, Lindsay gave me an Applebee's gift card and made me promise that I would not re-gift it, or bring my kids. It had to be a date with just Brian and I. She knows me too well :-) We finally made good on that promise ! Had to pick up curbside to go, because we didn't have time to go in before our Friday night volleyball game.

Mail from Maui
Brianna was so excited to get the postcard that Lily and Meredith sent her from now Maui!
That's right, Maui.
Lily, Meredith, Lindsay and her kids, mom and dad, and Dave's kids all went to Maui for the past 12 days.
I briefly thought about going too, but it just wasn't worth the expense!
I guess I really am a homebody.
I mean, I like to travel, and we do travel, but I'm pretty picky about when and how and where and why.
I'm so glad they had fun , but I have zero regrets about not joining them !

Yardwork for dad's birthday
We thought... what could we give my Dad for his birthday? He's a practical guy. Has everything he needs and most everything he wants... plus he was out of town on his actual birthday.... so we decided to surprise him with notes on his door and yardwork completed! Mowed, weeded, raked, etc. He loved it! And we love him! Soooooooo much. I feel so blessed my Dad is the great man he is.

Brianna at school
The staff member at their school in charge of yearbooks requested photos from parents who attended school events.
So naturally, I'm snapping away while at school and submitting lots.
If the yearbook is full of McKell kids, we won't be surprised :)

I made fliers
Time for the annual Easter event that won't happen unless I put it on! :/ ;)
It's a ton of work, but we can't let tradition stop now. Besides, it's fun shopping for egg stuffers using my neighbor's HOA funds :):)
I'm quite proud of these simple little fliers for the simple fact that they were completed in like 3.4 seconds while my kids waited in the car parked right in front of the library doors. Yay for free printing there! Now I get to deliver all 130 of them tonight....after we zoom home from gymnastics, throw some sort of dinner together, prep a few things for YW, go to YW, & hope Brian got them to bed 😜😵😆 Crazy day! I haven't been home since 9 this morning.

If I want sonething done, I need to start it....
...then pass it off to Brian!!
We've been meaning to fix this closet shelf for an embarrassingly long time. But things like this are never a priority! No one sees it, and we're getting along fine without.
But I have this big goal to get my house in perfect order. I refuse to believe it's not attainable!! So I'm attacking one project at a time. Oh that's a lie....I'm partially attacking 500 projects at a time, never finishing completely because I get distracted by little people 😅😂😣ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜€

Charity's first friend-birthday party
Her little friend Olivia from the Y just looooves her! They're so adorable together, and Charity was obsessed with watching her open every single present. Seeing her little eyes light up with the joy of giving her little friend a birthday gift (fairy wings and a stuffed puppy), was totally worth the hassle of hauling all the kids to the party, making small talk with other adults, pretending I cared about the Gonzaga game updates everyone kept announcing, and staying up past my bedtime :)
