We were spoiled by Rec Center in Vernal. Golds in Cedar is so below par. Such a meat market, like im at muscle beach. Class equipment is dingy. Employees r so nazi bout all the rules. Childcare room is tiny with movies on all the time. Plus side: pump class is way harder. Instructors are slave drivers on roids.

The Morrells said...: I liked Gold's when I lived in Cedar...of course that was when I was in college and didn't have to worry about things like the child care, etc. I just remember loving their classes because they kept me in shape. Cedar City definitely needs a Rec Center like Vernals. Have you checked out the gym at the college? I'm not sure if you have to be a student or not to sign up for it, but I know you get a better rate if you're a student. They have an awesome pool and some classes and raquet ball rooms and stuff and they did have some classes when I was there. There are some other gyms in Cedar too. I'd check them out before getting a membership anywhere. It seems like there was a woman's only gym there, but that could be long gone by now.; June 3, 2009 at 10:11 PM
